Hello, my name is Dane, and I am 22 years old. I am from California and will be staying in Japan for the next 3 months! Currently, I am a part time student in community college studying 3d animation.

Some of my hobbies include weightlifting, fishing, hiking, and playing video games. I graduated from high school 5 years ago and have been slowly building my buisness/work portfolio, in hopes to one day create my own game. Most of my jobs in the U.S have typically dealt with food, so I look forward to gaining the office skills this internship will provide.

The reason I chose to do an internship in Japan because I would like to broaden my skillset, as well as immerse myself in another culture. Anime has played a very big role in my interest in Japan, and where I gained most of my Japanese vocabulary. Kimetsu no yaiba is one of my favorite anime, as well as Dr Stone and Naruto. I have a very basic knowledge of the Japanese language, and hope to learn enough to be able to hold a short conversation by the time I leave.

I have been studying the Japanese culture since I was 11 years old and I find myself more and more intrigued the more I learn about all the different customs and rules. By doing this internship I hope to not only deepen my understanding of the Japanese etiquette, but to also meet many new people and teach them all I know about English customs and language. I very much look forward to working with all of you, and hope to teach you as much as you teach me.
