 My Internship

インターンシップ

Mizu Trans Corporationでインターンシップをしました。2019年２月5日から2019年４月26日まで。英語からドイツ語訳したり、レポートを書いたり、校正したりしました。 面白かったです。　日本語で頑張って感想を書いてくれました。

I did an internship at Mizu Trans Corporation in Fukuoka from 4^th of February until 26^th of April.

Before it started I already had been in Japan for one month, in this time I had Japanese lessons.

I did a few different things in the time of my internship.

The first thing was translating a website of a teashop from English into German. This took quite a while. Later I only translated shorter texts.

I also had to proofread an information text about a Kabuki. I didn’t know much about Kabuki so it was really interesting. Later me and the two other Interns were invited to watch this Kabuki play. It was a really nice of them to invite us and it was a great experience seeing a traditional Japanese play. But knowing beforehand what t was about was helpful with understanding the storyline.

Besides I had to check translated texts and charts for mistakes, and if the headlines in the text and in the table of content were the some.

In addition I wrote some travel reports in English and German about tours from the company.

Those tours I’ve written about have also been part of the internship. They sometimes have been at the weekend, but then I had a day off on another day of the week. Those days we spent outside of the office have been really interesting because most of the time I learned things about Japanese traditions or culture. And I also visited places I might have never seen otherwise.

I’ve also been at some business meetings and did learn about the business world in Japan.

All I all I think it was really interesting to learn something about Japanese business culture, but also learn about traditions and culture at the excursions.

ドイツ語　Mein Praktikum

Vom 4. Februar bis 26. April habe ich ein Praktikum bei Mizu Trans Corporation gemacht. Vorher war ich bereits einen Monat in Japan, in dem ich einen Japanischsprachkurs belegt habe.

Während meines Praktikums habe ich verschiedene Aufgaben gehabt.

Als erstes habe ich die Webseite eines Teehändlers vom Englischen ins Deutsche übersetzt. Das hat ziemlich lange gedauert. Danach habe ich nur noch kürzere Texte übersetzt.

Außerdem habe ich einen Text über ein Kabukistück Korrektur gelesen. Da ich nicht viel über Kabuki wusste, war der Text sehr interessant für mich. Später wurden ich und die zwei anderen Praktikanten zu diesem Kabukistück eingeladen. Darüber habe ich mich sehr gefreut, weil ich schon länger eines anschauen wollte. Dass ich mich zuvor bereits mit dem Inhalt des Stückes befasst habe hat mir sehr beim verstehen der Handlung geholfen.

Zusätzlich habe ich auch übersetzte Texte und Grafiken auf Fehler überprüft und geschaut ob die Überschriften im Text mit denen im Inhaltsverzeichnis übereinstimmen.

Ansonsten habe ich noch einige Reiseberichte über Ausflüge, an denen ich als Teil des Praktikums teilgenommen habe, geschrieben. Diese fanden zum Teil am Wochenende statt, aber dann hatte ich stattdessen unter der Woche frei. Diese Ausflüge waren sehr interessant, weil man meistens etwas über japanische Kultur oder Traditionen lernen konnte. Außerdem hätte ich manche Orte ansonsten wahrscheinlich nicht besucht.

Außerdem war ich noch bei ein paar Businessterminen dabei und habe so etwas über die Geschäftswelt in Japan erfahren.

Alles in allem war es schön, während meines Praktikums nicht nur die japanische Businesskultur kennenzulernen, sondern auch Ausflüge zu unternehmen bei denen man etwas über japanische Traditionen und Kultur erfährt.
