I am so honored to have a message from Sachin N. Shah, about our participation in the 2015-2016 TOMODACHI MetLife Women’s

Leadership program. This is actually a wonderful program for all the women leaders and young students.

Dear mentors,

Thank you very much for having taken part in the 2015-2016 TOMODACHI MetLife Women’s

Leadership program and for sparing your time on Sunday to congratulate the students.

I am very pleased to see so many talented young women coming out of this program feeling

empowered and confident. I am strongly convinced that they will become great leaders who will

make a difference in Japanese society, and I also feel strongly that what we have been doing

through this program will have an impact.

This program would not have been a success without your generous contribution and

enthusiasm to support the students. In this regard, I would like to extend my special appreciation

to you all.

Since its launch in 2013, the program has been a huge success and we have continued to receive

positive feedback from all the participants. As I announced, it is such an honor for us to be

able to extend our support of this program, to help women achieve their full potential.

We believe that diversity and inclusion is key not only to the long-term success of any

organization, but also to the growth of Japanese society.

Finally, I ask you to please keep inspiring the next generation of leaders as their role models by

continuing to build on your experiences, skills and wisdom. I would also like to reiterate my

advice. Although these were originally for the students, I hope it will guide you when you face

challenges as a leader.

Take control: It’s your career. You decide what you want to achieve.
Aim high: There is no limit to what you can achieve in life.
Just do it: You have the skill and capacity to achieve a lot more than you realize.
